Curved Stairlift
Our customer had been in hospital for some time and now had to use a wheelchair for the first time.
The task was to get the best possible transfer height at the foot of the stairs and to over run the top landing so again there would be ease of access.
He now is managing it very well and is so pleased to be able to go upstairs to bed.
We installed with the rail hugging the wall and sitting as low as possible at the bottom of the stairs. This shows the seat ready to use, but when not in use it can be folded - to allow others to use the stairs.
The rail is supported on legs situated every two or three stairs on the stair tread. It is battery powered so that in the event of a power cut, the stairlift will continue to work for several journeys - until the power returns.
